
Managing Patients Living with Hypertension (On-Demand)
This two-part webinar series focuses on diabetes and hypertension, exploring the intersection of their disease pathology and performance improvement. In this webinar, speakers will review the current guidelines for hypertension diagnosis and treatment and share strategies for care coordination and interprofessional collaboration to manage hypertension effectively.

The AAFP has reviewed this Strategies for Preventive Health and Chronic Disease in Maternal, Pediatric, Geriatric, and Adult Care training and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit. The term of approval is for one year. Participants should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
This live session is approved for 0.75 AAFP Elective credits. Elective credits are available for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants. Attendance at the entire live training and the submission of a post-training evaluation are required to receive credit.
On-Demand training is not eligible for CMEs.

Christina Clayton, MS, BSN, RN
Director, Clinical Services, Renaye James Healthcare Advisors
As a dedicated healthcare leader, Christina has over 13 years’ experience as a nurse leader in community, hospital, health insurance, and regulatory settings.
Christina has had a valuable impact on healthcare quality improvement. She has had positions in nursing leadership, nursing management, case management, payer quality programs, program management, regulatory compliance, and nursing education.
Prior to Renaye James, as a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) nurse consultant, Christina provided accreditation oversight to Medicare’s acute care programs. She served as the program lead for Diabetes Self-Management Training and Home Infusion Therapy accreditation programs. Additionally, she was the clinical support for Rural Health and Federally Qualified Health Center programs. Christina provided oversight to national accreditation organizations and provides direction in the development of education material for state surveyors for those programs. Additionally, she was responsible for collaborating with other federal agencies and national associations.
As a program manager for Johns Hopkins Healthcare, LLC, Christina aligned measurable program goals with organization’s mission, and utilized quality improvement strategies and measurement to implement changes the health plan’s programs. Christina has been instrumental in improving the health of the community; as a Program Manager, she collaborated with external stakeholders to improve health outcomes and decrease high utilization of members within the Complex Case Management and Disease Management Program.
As a FQHC Clinical Manager, she has vast experience in health center operations, care management, health center budgeting, nursing management, and medical assistant supervision.
Christina has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Coppin State University (Baltimore, Maryland) and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Morgan State University (Baltimore, Maryland).

Shatiqua B. Jamerson, MS
Administration and Programs Coordinator, Mathew Walker Comprehensive Health Center
Shatiqua Jamerson is a seasoned public health professional with over 20 years of experience in health education, program development, and project management.
Throughout her career Shatiqua has led and supported numerous state and county health initiatives, focusing on chronic disease prevention, maternal and child health, and community wellness. Her work includes curriculum development, strategic planning, and managing programs that address hypertension, diabetes, childhood obesity, and oral health. She has also provided nutrition counseling for pregnant women and new mothers, contributing to improved health outcomes in communities with additional needs.
Shatiqua has extensive experience in grant writing and administration, successfully securing and managing funding for public health programs. Her skills in project coordination and stakeholder engagement have made her a trusted leader in implementing impactful health interventions.
Most recently, Shatiqua was selected as a fellow of the Region IV Public Health Training Center, where she expanded her expertise in workforce development, leadership, and capacity building for public health professionals across the Southeastern United States.
She holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Community Health and Health Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and a Master of Science in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Health from Middle Tennessee State University. Based in the Nashville area, Shatiqua continues to inspire others with her commitment to wellness and her collaborative approach to improving community health.

Evelyn Wilson, BS, CMHE
Patient-Centered Medical Home Quality Improvement Manager, Mathew Walker Comprehensive Health Center
Evelyn Wilson is a seasoned healthcare leader, wellness strategist, and public health advocate. She currently serves as the Patient-Centered Medical Home Quality Improvement Manager at Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center, where she leads system-wide initiatives to improve care coordination, clinical performance, and patient experience.
Her entrepreneurial venture, EVElution Dance Fitness, reflects her innovative approach to community wellness by merging movement, nutrition, and education to promote sustainable lifestyle change. In 2019, she earned a wellness certification from Soul to Sole Wellness, further establishing her expertise in preventive health and behavior change.
Evelyn is well versed with the National Committee for Quality Assurance quality model, leveraging its principles to drive continuous improvement in patient-centered care and clinical excellence. She has frequently served as a speaker, facilitator, and advisor for healthcare organizations across Tennessee. She has led regional and statewide training on chronic disease prevention, patient-centered care, and community engagement.
In 2025, Evelyn completed a prestigious fellowship through the Region IV Public Health and Primary Leadership Institute, sponsored by the JW Fanning Institute for Leadership Development at the University of Georgia and the PHPI Training Center at Emory University. This fellowship strengthened her capacity to lead cross-sector collaborations, influence policy, and drive innovation in public health and primary care systems.
Her leadership extends to collaborative projects with the Tennessee Department of Health, Metro Nashville Public Schools, Metro Nashville Public Health, Meharry Medical College, and Vanderbilt University. Through these partnerships, she has helped design and implement community-centered programs that address chronic conditions — particularly hypertension — through lifestyle interventions and education.
